• Daniel Sterneby

    Managing Partner & Executive Chairman

    Daniel Sterneby has gained 20 years of international financial experience. Before joining ACT in 2010 he worked with acquisition and investment management of high net-worth individuals for Banque Havilland and Kaupthing Bank in Luxembourg. In 2002 he was part of establishing Svenska Handelsbanken Zurich Branch. Prior to that he was head of investment management at Svenska Handelsbanken Haninge Centrum Branch (Stockholm). Daniel Sterneby holds a BBA in Business Finance from Örebro Universitet in Sweden and in Economics from Johannes Kepler Univeristät Linz in Austria. He speaks Swedish, English and German and has basic knowledge in French and Spanish. Daniel was born 1975 in Sweden and lives with his wife and daughter near Zurich. Spare time he enjoys together with family and friends, when possible on the Swedish west coast. Daniel also likes to play golf and skiing/snowboarding.

  • André Lüdi

    Senior Partner & Board Member

    André Lüdi has worked over 30 years in the financial sector, both in investment banking and private banking. After completing his banking apprenticeship at Swiss Bank Corporation (SBC) in Basel, he worked for 14 years until 1996 as a precious metals & foreign exchange trader for different banks in Basel, Geneva and Toronto. Meanwhile, a change was made to Zurich Insurance before he started in 1998 in private banking. During 8 years he took care of wealthy private clients from Scandinavia as a client advisor at UBS AG and VP Bank (Switzerland) Ltd. In June 2006, he founded an asset management company that he operated 9 years as a managing partner and was member of the Aquila Group. André Lüdi completed several training programs in finance and acquired the certificate Risk & Return of the Swiss Institute of Banking and Finance at the University of St. Gallen. He speaks German, English, French and has basic knowledge of Swedish. He dedicates his free time to his family and his hobbies such as skiing, soccer and traveling.

  • Mathis Aerne

    Partner & Board Member

    Mathis Aerne has gained 7 years of working experience in finance, administration and commerce. His previous employer was Evonik Degussa, where he was in charge of the Scandinavian and British department. Before graduating the Commercial school in Zurich, Mathis studied at the University of Miami and extensively worked on his game of golf in Florida. He later became a member of the Swiss National Team. Mathis was born and raised in Switzerland, but has also the Swedish citizenship. He speaks German, Swedish, English and French. Besides golf, he likes to play tennis or snooker and enjoys both creating and listening to music.

  • Jessica Sterneby

    Senior Partner & Board Member

    Jessica is Senior Partner at ACT Asset Management AG with over 20 years of experience form the financial sector.

    Over the years she has built up a broad international network of experts within the financial area, such as lawyers, international tax advisors and corporate administrators. Before joining ACT, Jessica worked seven years as Executive Director and Senior Relationship Manager for Bank Julius Baer in Zurich. Prior to Julius Baer, she worked 17 years for Svenska Handelsbanken; starting on a part-time basis in Gothenburg, working as Relationship Manager in Stockholm and in Luxembourg, and eventually as Head of the Advisory Team and Deputy Branch Manager in Zurich. Jessica Sterneby graduated with a Master´s degree in Economics from Jönköping International Business School, Sweden, and Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada. Jessica is fluent in Swedish, English, and German. In her spare time she enjoys skiing, artwork, reading, and playing golf.

  • Tony Andersson

    CFA, Portfolio Manager

    Tony Andersson is managing FundaQuental at ACT Asset Management. He has over 15 years of investment experience from both global growth and value investing. Tony was the co-portfolio manager at Pictet’s Digital Fund, and also previously at Nordea’s European Value Fund. He has multi-asset experience and has deep expertise in Information Technology, Media, Telecom and Healthcare which he gained during various stages as a senior equity analyst. Tony started his career in finance as a quantitative analyst for UBS developing a pricing model for interest rate derivatives. UBS later allowed him to excel in fixed income analysis before taking on equities which became a life-long passion. Before assuming portfolio management duties, Tony was the lead equity analyst for global Technology and Telecom at UBS FS in New York. Tony is a CFA charter holder, holds a Master of Science in Engineering Physics and has an entrepreneurial flair which culminated in a Media start-up incubated during 2011 by Stockholm School of Economics business lab. Tony, a native Swede, is married with two children and enjoys sports, particularly if it involves a puck, a ball or snow. In addition to Swedish, he speaks English and German.

  • Emmanuelle Imbert Luft

    LLM, External Legal & Compliance Advisor

    Emmanuelle Imbert Luft has over twenty years' experience in working as a lawyer and has been working for ACT Asset Management on a case by case basis, upon request, since 2013. She established her own independent consultancy activity in 2010. Previously, she advised and represented clients in France, where she is admitted to the bar in Paris since 1997, and Germany and worked as a senior legal in-house counsel for different major companies within the financial industry in Switzerland. She also created and led the legal department of an insurance company established in Liechtenstein.

    Her experience includes working in-house in drafting contract wordings, managing claims disputes, establishing compliance framework.

    Most recently she advised her clients on:

    • Financial transactions
    • Insurance and reinsurance wordings
    • Merger and acquisitions
    • Regulatory considerations
    • Commutations, run-off, retrocessions.
    • Cross-border issues

    Emmanuelle also supports her clients with their corporate legal needs, including the preparation of board meetings and general meetings.

    Emmanuelle speaks French, German and English and she has basic knowledge in Spanish and Italian.
